The Thought
NMTA supports a free market, capitalist economic system because it believes that such a system would lead to greater prosperity among the citizens of the State of New Mexico. It believes that such a system increases the liberty of citizens and unleashes human creativity. This, in turn, leads to greater wealth creation among the citizens, and that tends to enhance their happiness. Each new candidate for Governor of this state, and each new administration as it enters office, pays obeisance to the need in the state for new industry and more jobs. New administrations often advertise nationally, pointing out the beneficial attributes of New Mexico. But, they do not hint at the multitude of inhibitions to the conduct business in this state. We intend, on this page, to give the bad with the good -- that is, to do it honestly. We hope this page becomes a reference, both for businesses contemplating a move to New Mexico and for citizens interested in supporting the creation of more jobs and opportunity in New Mexico.
